Our Private Treatment Services

Initial Consultation and Evaluation

This comprehensive evaluation covers a wide range of topics including alcohol/drug use, co-existing mental health problems, and readiness for change. Evaluation results are presented to the client along with objective feedback and, where indicated, initial treatment recommendations.

Individualized Treatment Planning

We work collaboratively with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan. This plan may include individual therapy, group therapy, or a combination of both individual and group therapy, depending on what the client needs and what appears to make the most sense. Clients already involved with other practitioners are free to continue seeing their therapist and/or psychiatrist while participating in treatment here.

Individual Therapy

Most clients begin with individual sessions to solidify their treatment plan and establish an initial foundation for ongoing treatment. Some patients continue with individual therapy only, others transition from individual to group therapy, and still others choose a combination of both individual and group therapy.

Phase 1: Early Recovery Groups

These groups are designed to enhance motivation for change, break free of substance abuse, improve coping skills, and identify core psychological issues related to substance use and other life problems. Phase 1 groups can be supplemented, as needed, with individual and/or couples therapy.

Phase 2: Relapse Prevention Groups

These groups are for clients who have already completed early-phase treatment here or elsewhere. These groups focus on preventing relapse, improving relationships, making lifestyle changes to support ongoing recovery. Phase 2 groups can be supplemented, as needed, with individual and/or couples therapy.

Phase 3: Advanced Recovery Groups

These are open-ended psychotherapy groups for individuals in stable recovery who want to further solidify their progress and address a range of psychological and emotional issues. Phase 3 groups can be supplemented, as needed, with individual and/or couples therapy.

Healthcare Professionals Recovery Groups

These groups address the unique personal, professional, and workplace issues faced by physicians and other healthcare professionals dealing with their own alcohol or drug problems.

Couples Therapy

Couples sessions are available to clients in all stages of treatment either alone or in combination with participation in any of the services listed above.

Moderation for Non-Alcoholic Problem Drinkers

In addition to the abstinence-based treatment services described above, we offer the unique option of moderation-focused treatment for drinkers with less severe problems who want to learn how to manage their alcohol consumption within safer limits rather than give up drinking completely.
